Systems Security Engineer-Senior

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity strategy, Cybersecurity A&A implementation, and continuous monitoring for PIT and PIT CS systems.
• Integrate security requirements into system design, development, upgrades, and operational processes.
• Advise Information System Owners and security leadership on system impact levels, risk posture, and compliance.
• Assess threats, vulnerabilities, and system changes; recommend, implement, and validate appropriate security controls.
• Review and oversee the development of A&A documentation, including SSPs, SCTMs, CMPs, SARs, and POA&Ms.
• Prepare and submit full system authorization packages and provide written recommendations to the Authorizing Official (AO).
• Evaluate system, network, and software designs for security risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant Cybersecurity or Information Systems experience.
• Must meet DoD 8140 (Work Codes 631 & 652; Intermediate level) certification requirements.
• Required certifications: Security+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP, and GSEC.
• Experience working in a DoD program or product acquisition office/environment.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment within the last five (5) years.
• Active Top-Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• BS Degree from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
