Systems Programmer – z/OS System Support (Mainframe Sysprog)

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation, implementation, and maintenance of z/OS software and z hardware environments
• Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and performance management to ensure operational stability
• Execute z/OS software installations, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
• Administer storage management environments including DFSMS and DFSMShsm
• Support Mainframe network management and TCP/IP configuration
• Manage HCD configuration and Mainframe hardware definitions
• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and execution activities to ensure business continuity

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe Systems Engineering or z/OS Specialist roles
• Strong expertise in z/OS Operating Systems and related subsystems
• Hands-on experience with HCD, TCP/IP, SMP/E, RMF, CICS, and MQ
• Proven experience with DFSMS and DFSMShsm
• Experience installing and configuring third-party z/OS products and BMC Control Products
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within highly technical enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within enterprise or financial services environments
• Exposure to large-scale Mainframe infrastructure environments
• Experience participating in formal business continuity and disaster recovery exercises
