Systems Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a Systems Operations team of analysts responsible for monitoring installed systems and infrastructure
• Identify and recommend opportunities to increase system efficiency and reduce manual intervention through automation
• Make critical decisions regarding operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Develop and interpret policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with risk management requirements
• Manage the allocation of personnel and financial resources for the Systems Operations functional area
• Mentor direct reports and assist in talent development and hiring processes
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, IT personnel, and external vendors to meet business objectives

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture, or an equivalent combination of experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams or direct reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving operational efficiency through automation, workflow simplification, and process optimization
• Hands-on experience implementing automation using scripting languages, orchestration tools, or low-code/no-code platforms
• Exposure to Generative AI-enabled operations, such as AI-assisted monitoring, chatbots, or analytics tools
• Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise, or 24x7 production environments
• Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks, including incident, problem, change, and service management
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation
