Systems Operations Manager - Release Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a Systems Operations team of analysts responsible for monitoring installed systems and infrastructure
• Identify and recommend opportunities to increase system efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Make critical decisions regarding operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Develop and interpret policies and procedures to ensure compliance and risk management requirements are met
• Manage the allocation of personnel and financial resources within the Systems Operations functional area
• Mentor and guide the talent development of direct reports and assist in the hiring process
• Engage with stakeholders, internal partners, and vendors to support business objectives

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture, or an equivalent combination of experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams or individuals

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience leading enterprise Release Management functions and release strategy
• Strong expertise in Agile and DevOps delivery models, including CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Extensive people leadership background, including managing geographically distributed teams
• Deep understanding of ITIL practices, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management
• Experience driving automation and AI-enabled delivery solutions
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern monitoring and collaboration tools
• Strong background in risk, compliance, and quality management within a regulated environment
