Systems Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in complex technical initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, and databases
• Execute technology refresh activities including server upgrades, OS refreshes, VM builds, and platform modernization
• Support remediation of OS End-of-Life (EOL) systems such as RHEL and Windows
• Coordinate data center migration activities, including server moves, application cutovers, and dependency validation
• Assist in migrations from legacy data centers to next-generation data centers or cloud platforms
• Support decommissioning activities for servers, databases, DNS, and firewalls to reduce operational risk
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within technical support strategies and plans
• Provide technical information and consultation to functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

Requirements

• 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, or education

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Application Life cycle management and Asset Life cycle management
• Proficiency with Compute and Storage technologies (NAS/SAN)
• Experience with Load balancers (AVI) and Databases
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management
