About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform cyber systems administration and network engineering for the USSF CFC S739 virtual analysis enclaves (AVAC) at Peterson SFB.
- Architect and engineer AVAC solutions to meet analyst needs, security functionality, and engineering compliance.
- Document security controls and protection needs for information systems and networks.
- Perform security reviews and identify gaps in network security architecture.
- Execute software and hardware configurations in accordance with technical security controls, including STIGs, patching, and vulnerability mitigation.
- Manage network servers, technology tools, and upgrade deployments.
- Maintain network documentation for system administration and configuration processes.
- Troubleshoot system and network issues, providing support for hardware, software, and communications infrastructure.
- Lead teams to accomplish technical tasks and improve vulnerability management lifecycles.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
- DoDI 8140 certification (Security+ or higher).
- 6-8 years of system/network administration experience.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Red Hat operating systems.
- Knowledge of NIST standards and DISA STIG governance.
- Understanding of system design, virtual machines, and network routing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with multiple operating systems, storage management, and patch management.
- Knowledge of data management and data backup/recovery procedures.
- Experience leading small teams performing technical tasks.
- Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills.
