Systems Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create detailed work instructions and engineering documentation for the fabrication, installation, or modification of vehicle and payload systems
• Act as a liaison engineer to the manufacturing shop, providing real-time troubleshooting and technical support for electrical and mechanical systems
• Develop test plans, procedures, and tooling drawings to support production and acceptance testing
• Support the integration of complex aerospace systems, including electrical power and avionics
• Evaluate technical data to ensure engineering requirements are met within cost and schedule constraints
• Contribute to process improvement and production line standardization efforts

Requirements

• Experience with vehicle systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, or electrotechnical disciplines
• Proven experience with aerospace production documentation, such as drawings and work orders
• Proficiency with PDM systems and engineering revision control processes
• Hands-on experience with aircraft mechanical system and payload installation
• Experience integrating electrical power systems for aircraft or launch vehicles
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active security clearance
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling (NX, CATIA, or Solidworks)
• Proficiency with Siemens Capital, Mentor Graphics, or LabVIEW
• Familiarity with configuration management systems like Jira
