Systems Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure to validate end-to-end system behavior.
• Define and execute integration test plans for new hardware variants, carrier board ports, and sensor software releases.
• Own the post-manufacturing QA process for sensors to ensure quality during manufacturing scale-up.
• Root cause failures at the intersection of firmware, hardware, RF, and network infrastructure.
• Develop data generation pipelines and frameworks to support hardware-in-the-loop and simulated test environments.
• Deploy sensors in the field for experiments and customer demonstrations, including physical installation and network configuration.
• Operate systems during data collection runs and provide structured field observations to the engineering team.

Requirements

• Experience integrating hardware and software systems, ideally in embedded or sensor-heavy contexts.
• Proficiency with Linux system administration and networking.
• Ability to write test automation and basic tooling using Python.
• Physical and logistical competence for working outdoors in variable conditions and installing equipment.
• Willingness to travel for both local and multi-day trips to test sites or customer locations.
• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Clear written communication skills for field reports and test results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in RF test and measurement, signal processing, or electronic systems with an RF front end.
• Software engineering experience in embedded or Linux system programming.
• Familiarity with containerized software deployment or sensor network management.
• Prior experience in a defense or government context involving field operations in austere environments.
