About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain zero-trust SOPs and reusable reference models mapped to enterprise architecture.
- Extend Net-Sec-Ops pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible) for firewalls, switches, and SD-WAN.
- Architect and automate backup, failover, and disaster recovery workflows for network devices.
- Integrate vulnerability scanners and threat-intel feeds into CI/CD pipelines to automate remediation.
- Manage network configuration lifecycles, enforcing change-control gates and auditing configuration drift.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed network security into DevOps pipelines.
- Model traffic and compute link utilization to forecast capacity needs and prevent bottlenecks.
- Prototype proof-of-concept environments to validate complex customer requests and technical feasibility.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience configuring firewalls, switches, VPNs, VLANs, and traffic load balancing.
- Deep technical knowledge of L2/L3 protocols including OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and VXLAN.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, and Jenkins/GitLab CI.
- Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and implementing policy-as-code pipelines.
- Experience with virtualization and OS platforms including VMware vSphere, Proxmox, Linux, and Windows.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management and zero-trust design principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SANS, or CompTIA.
- Experience with cloud networking environments like AWS VPC or Azure VNets.
- Familiarity with F5, InfoBlox, and network observability tools.
