About the role
About the Company
Mytra is creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market, focusing on the supply chain industry first.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end risk management process in accordance with ISO and applicable IEC standards
- Author and maintain the system-level risk file, ensuring traceability from hazard analysis to validation
- Develop and standardize risk management documentation including HARAs, FMEAs, and FTAs
- Lead and facilitate hazard analysis and risk assessment sessions with cross-functional engineering teams
- Evaluate proposed risk control measures and engineering safeguards for effectiveness
- Develop and manage safety verification and validation plans
- Serve as the subject matter expert on risk management standards for industrial robotics
- Build and deliver risk management training and mentorship programs
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, quality engineering, or functional safety
- Proven track record conducting HARA, FMEA, FTA, and HAZOP for complex systems
- Hands-on experience authoring and maintaining structured risk files and safety cases
- Experience translating hazard analyses into hardware and software requirements
- Strong mechatronics or systems engineering foundation
- B.S. or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in autonomous mobile robots, industrial machinery, or warehouse automation
- Experience with AI/ML-enabled autonomous systems
- Experience supporting third-party certification audits (TÜV, UL, FDA)
- Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) or TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification
