Systems Engineering & Integration Manager

Responsibilities

• Review and assess engineering processes to ensure alignment with FAA-recognized standards including ARP4754A, ARP4761A, DO-178C, and DO-254
• Lead the transfer and internalization of engineering systems and certification governance
• Review system architectures, designs, and technical decisions from a vehicle integration and safety perspective
• Ensure consistency of sizing assumptions, performance allocations, and safety budgets at the vehicle level
• Monitor cross-functional interfaces across powertrain, flight controls, structures, and avionics
• Provide technical review and concurrence at major design milestones (SRR, PDR, TRR) and Configuration Control Boards
• Identify and mitigate vehicle-level integration, safety, and certification risks
• Ensure technical outputs like requirements and verification artifacts align with FAA Part 21 obligations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft systems engineering and integration
• Strong knowledge of SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761
• Working knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254
• Solid understanding of FAA certification frameworks including 14 CFR Part 21
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
• Familiarity with MBSE methodologies and modeling tools like Cameo or SysML
