Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead projects within the F/A-18 Advanced Mission Systems portfolio, focusing on systems integration, verification, and validation
• Plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
• Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure interface compatibility
• Perform analyses to optimize system architecture and evaluate factors such as safety, reliability, maintainability, and security
• Manage specific program initiatives, including proposals, estimates, supplier SOWs, budgets, and schedules
• Coordinate closely with customers, Boeing leadership, and suppliers while navigating export compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 4+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (or a clearance active within the past 24 months)
• U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Mission Systems, avionics, or software development
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience in Cost Account Management or project management
• Experience with export compliance and supplier management
• Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and collaborative communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
