About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering activities for aircraft modernization and modification programs
- Apply systems thinking to understand the inter-relationships of all Systems Integration activities
- Integrate and manage deliverables including functional analysis, requirements, and safety analysis
- Develop and monitor requirements management processes, risk management, and systems maturity planning
- Resolve cross-functional technical issues across Systems IPT and other engineering domains
- Support FAA and Military Certification processes
- Mentor and coach team members to ensure quality of internal and external deliverables
- Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO, Rhapsody, or DOORS
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a math- or science-based discipline (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science)
- Minimum of 9 years of related work experience
- US Citizenship required to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ICD development, functional/logical architecture, and requirements specification
- Proficiency with System Architecture Development and Modeling tools (CAMEO/MSOSA, Rhapsody)
- Experience with Requirements Management tools such as IBM DOORS
- Experience in verification and validation of requirements
- Experience executing system design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Experience in systems integration and test, including lab, ground, and flight testing
- Knowledge of Airworthiness and Certification (FAA, EASA, or Military)
- INCOSE Certification
