Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) activities and cross-team coordination
• Develop and maintain DMO architecture artifacts, including system configurations, test plans, and procedures
• Plan and execute system tests to verify functionality and diagnose anomalies
• Provide on-site and remote technical support and real-time troubleshooting during training and test events
• Support configuration management of software across distributed sites
• Decompose security classification guidelines into system requirements and test plans
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate external vendor integrations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or simulation/avionics integration
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 10% (primarily domestic, potentially international)
• U.S. Person status required
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 9+ years of related work experience
• Prior experience in the defense industry or with Boeing simulation systems
• Experience with DMO/LVC technologies and interoperability standards (HLA, DIS, or TENA)
• Experience with CIGI, image generator integration, and terrain standards (CDB, GIS)
• Networking experience and proficiency with packet capture/analysis tools
• Strong software background, specifically with automated testing in Microsoft Visual Studio C++
• Familiarity with the formal systems development lifecycle (V model)
