About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the program SCARS focal and technical authority for simulator architecture standards
- Develop, review, and enforce system-level requirements, ICDs, and compliance matrices
- Translate SCARS standards into program-specific requirements and maintain traceability
- Coordinate with systems engineers, software, and simulation leads to drive standards adoption
- Lead conformance reviews, audits, and gap analyses to generate remediation plans
- Provide subject-matter expertise during design reviews and integration planning
- Mentor junior systems engineers on requirements best practices and MBSE/SysML usage
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience with an emphasis on requirements development and management
- Proven experience authoring and reviewing high-quality system requirements, ICDs, and compliance matrices
- Strong experience with requirements traceability
- U.S. Person status required due to export control regulations
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Top Secret required post-start)
Preferred Qualifications
- 9 or more years of related work experience (Senior Level)
- Experience with Boeing or defense simulation standards and SCARS exposure
- Knowledge of simulator architectures, DMO, LVC concepts, or HLA/DIS/CIGI standards
- Proficiency with MBSE/SysML tools and requirements management tools such as DOORS
- Experience with verification/validation planning and test-case derivation
