Systems Engineer (Systems Security)

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance and implementation support for low-level cryptographic system elements
• Work with NSA-approved cryptographic suppliers to support embedment and contract execution
• Support cryptographic architecture including COMSEC, TRANSEC, Data in Transit (DIT), and Data at Rest (DaR)
• Manage and implement Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), Bypass, and Key Management Systems
• Support software development activities related to crypto module development

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
• 5 or more years of related work experience
• Knowledge of low-level cryptographic system elements, including algorithms and security architecture
• Familiarity with COMSEC, TRANSEC, DIT, DaR, CDS, and Key Management Systems
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NSA cryptographic embedment design rules and related design practices
• Experience with NSA crypto module development processes, artifacts, and certification requirements
• Experience with High Assurance and/or CSfC implementations
• Familiarity with FIPS 140-3 design and certification practices
• Ability to support software development surrounding crypto module development
