Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with systems engineering, test teams, and program leadership to define and implement vehicle integration and test activities
• Develop and execute hardware-in-the-loop and on-vehicle test procedures
• Maintain an up-to-date test objective database in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
• Participate in test planning, Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), test execution, vehicle troubleshooting, and post-test data reviews
• Architect and optimize data review methodologies and analysis tools
• Ensure vehicles are tested in a manner that meets all established requirements
• Set and maintain standards for test planning and documentation

Requirements

• Experience working in small, dynamic engineering teams with multiple responsibilities
• Previous experience in vehicle integration testing, ground testing, or flight testing
• Familiarity with aerospace systems (e.g., avionics, instrumentation, software, fluid systems, liquid rockets, or structures)
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
• Familiarity with configuration management systems such as Jira
• Familiarity with requirement management systems such as Jama, Cameo, or DOORS
• Ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving as a Test Conductor
• Experience contributing to major technical reviews (SRR, PDR, or CDR)
• Experience with air-launched supersonic or hypersonic vehicle development
• Experience defining and verifying requirements for hypersonic vehicles with hot-structure airframes
• Experience with technical risk identification, management, and mitigation
• Programming experience in Matlab or Python
• Current DOD Secret security clearance
