Systems Engineer Sr Level

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases including Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement
• Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations, problems, issues, or conflicts
• Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives
• Maintain technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work across ISO/IEC15288 process areas including Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Integration, and Verification
• Lead technical discussions in cross-program meetings and define API contracts
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements through direct stakeholder engagement

Requirements

• Current Poly clearance
• 14+ years of experience as a systems engineer in programs of similar scope and complexity
• Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus 4 years of systems engineering experience
• Expertise in System Architecture Leadership and design integration patterns
• Strong technical communication skills for documenting architecture and briefing mixed audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Data Science/Analytics Architecture experience
• IC Domain Expertise in SIGINT/RF or multi-INT correlation tradecraft
• AI/ML Systems Design experience
• Familiarity with Java/Spring Boot
• Experience with integration platforms such as NiFi or Camel
• GraphQL/REST API design experience
• Understanding of data modeling trade-offs
