Systems Engineer, Perception

Responsibilities

• Design, monitor, and manage full subsystem-level requirements for perception
• Support tools development to derive perception requirements from stakeholder needs and safety cases
• Develop and manage scalable V&V pipelines for perception evaluation and release support
• Coordinate with perception software teams to align on requirements
• Work with hardware teams on designing the perception sensor set and hardware
• Provide clear project goals and manage tasks to ensure timely execution

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a systems engineering role within the automotive industry
• Experience working on perception systems
• Expertise in different sensor modalities used for autonomous driving
• Coding expertise in Python for developing scripts for requirements frameworks and evaluation
• MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
• Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
• Experience with ADAS, autonomous systems, and robotics (L2++ systems)

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management and leadership experience in the AV industry
• Research experience in the AV and robotics fields
• C++ programming skills
