Systems Engineer, Perception

Responsibilities

• Design, monitor, and manage full subsystem-level requirements for perception and evaluate performance to ensure requirements are met
• Support tools development to derive perception requirements from stakeholder needs and safety cases
• Develop and manage a scalable V&V pipeline for perception to evaluate performance and support release
• Coordinate with perception software teams to align on requirements
• Work with hardware teams on designing the perception sensor set and hardware
• Provide clear project goals and manage tasks to ensure timely execution

Requirements

• 3+ years of systems engineering experience in the automotive industry, specifically owning requirements and verification
• Proven experience working with perception systems
• Expertise in autonomous driving sensor modalities
• Strong Python coding expertise for developing scripts and evaluation frameworks
• Knowledge of C++
• MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an equivalent field
• Experience with ADAS, autonomous systems, or robotics (L2++ systems)
• Expertise across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management and leadership experience within the autonomous vehicle industry
• Research experience in the AV and robotics fields
