Systems Engineer - MBSE

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive digital model of propulsion systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to serve as the authoritative source of truth.
• Integrate systems engineering processes for turbine-based propulsion systems, including requirement definition, analysis, and lifecycle tracking.
• Conduct system safety analyses, including fault tree creation, system hazard analysis, FMEA, and FMECA generation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to organize data in accordance with customer requirements and company best practices.
• Define and track system, subsystem, and component verification and validation processes.
• Work closely with Program Management to collaborate with customers and produce timely data packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• 5+ years of technical experience in Systems Engineering.
• Broad technical knowledge of turbine engines or airframe technology.
• Experience with FMEA, FMECA, or Fault Tree Analysis.
• Familiarity with commercial (e.g., SAE ARP 4754, DO-160) or military (e.g., MIL-STD-810) standards.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active U.S. Security Clearance.
• Direct experience working on U.S. Air Force digital engineering programs.
• Proficiency with MBSE processes, principles, tools, and Digital Transformation methodologies.
• Experience with specific MBSE and Engineering software tools.
