About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate maritime bridge systems including communications, navigation, radar, and steering subsystems
  • Apply engineering principles to research, analyze, plan, design, code, implement, and test simulation systems
  • Review and prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, and design reviews
  • Perform simulation code development, systems integration, and quality assurance testing
  • Interface with other engineers, vendors, and Government representatives regarding technical program aspects
  • Read, write, and maintain new and existing software within Linux and Windows environments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an applicable engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in C, C++, or C#
  • Experience developing code on both Linux and Windows systems
  • Scripting competency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Competency in version control systems such as Git or SVN
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
