Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Solicit, analyze, and decompose customer requirements and user needs to support mission planning capability design
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and SMEs to plan Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria within Agile sprints
• Validate software functionality and ensure avionics data compliance with Interface Control Documents (ICD)
• Support Integration and Test (I&T) activities, including aircraft or test bench load testing
• Investigate software discrepancy reports, bugs, and integration issues to determine root causes
• Prepare and present technical briefings, white papers, and product-related documentation
• Analyze aeronautical and mission data issues to develop effective solutions and alternatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited school
• 4+ years of related systems engineering experience
• Knowledge of route planning data such as DAFIF, ARINC-424, or similar specifications
• Knowledge of aircraft, weapons, mission planning, and military air operations
• Experience with SysML, UML, or software engineering involving UML diagramming
• Strong analytical skills for requirement decomposition and data analysis
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of additional related experience
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
