About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and support the Salesforce.com environment, including Sales and Service Cloud applications.
- Manage and perform all Salesforce deployments, ensuring proper rollback and recovery plans are in place.
- Resolve Salesforce issues submitted through the university’s ticketing systems.
- Review developer code and deployment packages to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Maintain data integrity across all Salesforce orgs and ensure proper backups for disaster recovery.
- Create and maintain documentation for Salesforce infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
- Refresh development sandboxes and orgs regularly.
- Collaborate with admins, managers, and developers to resolve system issues and support Salesforce-related projects.
- Provide mentoring to less experienced Salesforce administrators.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (equivalent relevant experience may be considered).
- 3 years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator.
- Salesforce.com Certification.
- Experience with Apex and Visualforce development methods.
- Experience with Salesforce API.
- Experience with SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language).
Preferred Qualifications
- Systems Administration experience.
- Knowledge of latest Salesforce releases, including Lightning and Process Builder.
- Understanding of integrations to external systems.
