Systems Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering full lifecycle, including requirements decomposition, system performance analysis, and trade studies.
• Oversee software development and system integration and test activities to ensure requirements closure.
• Interact with agile development teams regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue closure.
• Define and document requirements for software releases and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure software and system needs are supported.
• Contribute to the testing, training, and implementation of new platform technologies and code quality methodologies.
• Assist agile teams with best practices for software development in a CI/CD environment.

Requirements

• Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in the systems engineering lifecycle (requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, or validation).
• Experience with agile software development activities, including requirements specification and integration testing.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SIGINT, GEOINT, or Multi-INT Intelligence Community (IC) backgrounds.
• Experience with cloud-based software architecture and systems.
• Experience developing MBSE design and DoDAF operational views.
• Experience using Agile tool sets such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• Experience maintaining technical cost and schedule for integration activities.
