Systems Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain on-premises data center and cloud-based customer environments
• Support complex technologies including server and storage systems, hypervisors, and backup appliances
• Execute Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) across supported environments
• Perform proactive system maintenance, including monthly health checks and vulnerability remediation
• Serve as an escalation point for data center support, providing advanced debugging and root-cause analysis
• Create and maintain system documentation, including designs, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
• Partner with Field Engineering teams to provide post-implementation support

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• 5+ years of experience supporting data center systems infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Veeam
• Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services (Entra ID, Intune, Azure Subscriptions)
• Professional-level technical certifications in data center-centric technologies (e.g., VMware, Veeam, or Azure)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Nutanix, Rubrik, Proxmox, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL
