Systems Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced features and functionality for Honeywell’s latest cockpit offering, ANTHEM.
• Analyze customer and operational requirements to define systems architecture and capture requirements.
• Perform integration, systems, and functional testing, and conduct design reviews.
• Develop, validate, and verify system-level requirements for flight deck avionic programs.
• Troubleshoot current systems interfaces and performance problems.
• Lead or assist in coordinating engineering review activities associated with SRR, PDR, and CDR milestones.
• Interface with diverse stakeholders, including Equipment Engineering Teams and Customer Engineering Leads.
• Manage efforts based on priorities, availability, and commitments while keeping management apprised of program status.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Avionics, Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering.
• 10+ years of combined system, software, or hardware product engineering development experience.
• Extensive experience with Avionics System software and Certification.
• Deep knowledge of ARP4754A and Aero Process.
• Proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS NG and Atlassian JIRA.
• Experience in the development of aircraft functions such as Displays, Flight Management, Communication & Navigation, Flight Controls, or Cybersecurity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with functional decomposition and working directly with customers on systems requirements.
• Knowledge of EPIC/APEX platforms and applications.
• 5+ years of specific avionics platform system engineering experience.
• Experience working on large, complicated programs.
• 3+ years of Systems Safety Analysis experience.
• Academic background in Systems Engineering.
• Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.
