About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, build, configure, and maintain internal cybersecurity functions including SIEM, monitoring, and technology integrations.
- Provide strategic guidance on the implementation and maintenance of SIEM, SOAR, and UBA technologies.
- Ingest, enrich, and tune SIEM data to provide actionable value to the Incident Response team.
- Implement automation to drive efficiencies across cybersecurity engineering, incident response, and threat intelligence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop security dashboards, reports, alerts, and tools.
- Troubleshoot escalated cybersecurity endpoint, data, and network problems.
- Plan and manage cybersecurity measures to protect enterprise data and infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or 5 years of direct cybersecurity experience.
- Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems.
- Proven experience with SIEM, SOAR, UBA, and XDR technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud computing standards and controls (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Advanced scripting and automation skills using Python, Shell, Bash, or Ansible.
- Familiarity with information security standards such as ISO, CIS, or NIST.
- Ability to communicate complex technical details clearly and work effectively both independently and in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant security certifications such as SANS/GIAC, CISSP, CEH, or OSCP.
