Systems Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, architecture, and design at all levels of the total system product, including concept, fabrication, modeling, and testing
• Conduct functional analyses, trade studies, and requirements allocation to translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications
• Decompose customer specifications into sub-system and piece part requirements and develop verification criteria
• Execute technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, and risk analyses for total system solutions
• Perform daily tasks within a classified and controlled laboratory environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the systems development lifecycle, including requirements capture, design, and transition to production
• Proficiency with systems engineering tools such as DOORS or CAMEO
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Programming experience with languages such as Rust or Python
• Strong communication skills for interacting with program stakeholders
