Systems Engineer I, Modeling and Simulation Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate new capabilities into existing simulation models
• Create mission simulations, virtual prototypes, and system emulators to demonstrate effectiveness in complex threat environments
• Run simulation environments and generate analysis data for evaluation
• Document design approaches and implement them
• Define and execute analysis plans
• Participate in technical reviews with internal and external customers
• Collaborate in a team environment to implement analytic approaches that inform programmatic decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM field
• Software development experience using languages such as C/C++ or Java
• Knowledge of Object-oriented programming design (OOP/OOD)
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with software development in Windows and Linux environments
• Interest or experience in 2D/3D software rendering (OpenGL, Open Scene Graph, Shaders)
• Experience with gaming engines or 3D modeling tools (Unreal Engine, 3DS Max)
• Familiarity with scientific computing software such as MATLAB
• Experience using scripting languages like Python or Perl for task automation
• Knowledge of software or system modeling practices (UML, SysML, DoDAF)
