Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Proactively monitor system performance and implement solutions to ensure high availability
• Implement and maintain robust security measures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans
• Develop custom scripts to automate tasks and improve system efficiency
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network components
• Collaborate with developers and management to deliver solutions
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for system architecture and procedures
• Research and assess emerging technologies for potential upgrades

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
• 2+ years of experience in system engineering, testing, or DevOps roles
• Proven experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools
• Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix, Git, and scripting (Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with test frameworks
