Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure)
• Administer core systems such as Active Directory, Intune, O365, and enterprise applications (TMS, WMS, FMIS)
• Manage patching and security by proactively applying updates and monitoring vulnerabilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across infrastructure, networking, and applications
• Support projects and deployments including migrations, upgrades, and new technology rollouts
• Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and the IT team to meet SLAs and deliver quality outcomes

Requirements

• Relevant experience in a Systems Engineer or similar L2/L3 role within a large multisite organisation
• Strong technical skills in Windows Server and virtualization (Hyper-V)
• Proficiency in networking (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, Wi-Fi) and cybersecurity
• Hands-on experience with O365 administration, Intune, and identity platforms (AD/Entra ID)
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise in a dynamic environment
• Must be eligible to work in New Zealand

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Azure, or ITIL
• Proactive approach to learning and implementing new technologies
