Systems Engineer - Digital Signal Processing

Responsibilities

• Design and develop next-generation RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems
• Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures
• Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces for communication digital payloads
• Develop performance and link budgets and conduct performance analysis of signal processing models
• Assist with conducting trade studies and develop prototype demonstrations on flight-like testbeds
• Support ASIC and FPGA level system design, verification, and unit-level integration
• Support hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math, computer science, or a related field
• Education or experience in signal processing
• 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, National, or lawful permanent resident)
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a field focused on signal processing or algorithm development
• Experience developing algorithms for hardware implementation on ASICs or FPGAs
• Proficiency with Simulink, Python, or C++
• Experience with digital signal processing projects or professional work
• Strong verification planning skills and ability to resolve real-world technical problems
