Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts in missile defense, focusing on system architecture, integration, verification, and modeling and simulation.
• Define and evolve system architectures, requirements, and interfaces for the MDA and C2BMC National Teams.
• Plan and execute integration and test (I&T) strategies, including defining tasks, monitoring completion, and evaluating results.
• Build and maintain analysis tools and modeling/simulation environments to predict performance against evolving threats.
• Perform system and performance trade studies to inform technical decisions and mission effectiveness.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders, industry partners, and warfighters to align system priorities and requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage program-level risks, issues, and opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• 12 or more years of related engineering experience.
• Proven experience in systems engineering (e.g., Architecture, Integration, Requirements, or Test).
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading engineering teams or driving complex workstreams to success.
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with missile defense mission context, specifically command and control (C2) or battle management.
• Proficiency with MBSE or requirements management tools such as Cameo or DOORS.
• Experience developing and tailoring integration and test processes, tools, and metrics.
• Programming or scripting skills for test and analysis support (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or Java).
• Experience performing operational/feasibility analysis and mission effectiveness trade studies.
