Systems Engineer, Body Controls (Safety)

Responsibilities

• Define and document vehicle, subsystem, and component requirements for passive safety features and control systems
• Work cross-functionally across hardware, software, and brand feature teams
• Support feature verification test case definition and ensure requirement traceability
• Ensure vehicle quality through functional analysis using hierarchical DFMEA and STPA
• Ensure passive safety compliance with automotive standards such as NCAP and EU-NCAP
• Coordinate system delivery and timing to achieve development milestones

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in systems design and integration
• Experience with passive safety systems (e.g., seatbelt reminders, child presence detection, EDR)
• Experience with system verification and test automation in SIL/vHIL/HIL environments
• Proficiency with DFMEA/STPA and associated tools
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and SOTIF (ISO 21448)
• Ability to read C/C++ and Python for debugging and code review
• Fluency with Git workflows
