Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and optimize Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and system administrators to implement best practices for automated testing and deployment.
• Monitor and resolve deployment-related issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Contribute to the design and optimization of cloud environments to enhance automation and efficiency.
• Maintain version control using Git to ensure all code changes are tracked and managed.
• Assist in managing release schedules and coordinating deployments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for development teams.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile development processes.

Requirements

• B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2-6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Jenkins Shared Library, or JCasC.
• Solid understanding of version control systems, primarily Git, and branching strategies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Groovy, Bash, or Python.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux OS and command line interface.
• Experience with build tools like Maven, Gradle, or NPM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud or other major cloud providers.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch or NewRelic.
• Experience with security tools like SonarQube, Snyk, or Veracode.
