Systems Engineer, Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and implement IT systems to achieve enterprise-level strategic and technical goals.
• Provide architectural expertise and direction to systems and software engineering teams.
• Manage the server environment, including Windows 2016+ administration, Active Directory, and Server Cluster administration.
• Develop, document, and communicate plans for systems architecture and cost reduction opportunities.
• Research emerging technologies to increase cost-effectiveness and system flexibility.
• Oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems and perform troubleshooting for complex problems.
• Execute test plans to check infrastructure performance and recommend improvements.
• Mentor team members and collaborate with end-users to define requirements for complex infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Server administration (2008, 2016, or 2019), including troubleshooting, patching, and recovery.
• Demonstrated experience in security systems engineering (Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Intrusion Detection, Encryption).
• Experience in data center management, Windows Server Clustering, or SQL Server.
• US Citizenship or Green Card is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal projects.
• MCSE Certification or equivalent.
• CCNA Certification.
• Experience with VMWare, VCenter, F5, or Microsoft SharePoint.
