About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement IT systems to achieve enterprise-level strategic and technical goals.
- Provide architectural expertise and direction to systems and software engineering teams.
- Manage the server environment, including Windows 2016+ administration, Active Directory, and Server Cluster administration.
- Develop, document, and communicate plans for systems architecture and cost reduction opportunities.
- Research emerging technologies to increase cost-effectiveness and system flexibility.
- Oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems and perform troubleshooting for complex problems.
- Execute test plans to check infrastructure performance and recommend improvements.
- Mentor team members and collaborate with end-users to define requirements for complex infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Server administration (2008, 2016, or 2019), including troubleshooting, patching, and recovery.
- Demonstrated experience in security systems engineering (Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Intrusion Detection, Encryption).
- Experience in data center management, Windows Server Clustering, or SQL Server.
- US Citizenship or Green Card is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal projects.
- MCSE Certification or equivalent.
- CCNA Certification.
- Experience with VMWare, VCenter, F5, or Microsoft SharePoint.
