Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Generate Functional Performance Specifications (FPS) for airframe, engine, and ejection seat elements of the Future Lead-In Fighter System (FLIFS)
• Develop high-quality, reliable systems engineering FPS in accordance with appropriate technical standards
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and multidisciplinary teams to identify and mitigate capability risks
• Evaluate tender responses and develop comprehensive technical evaluation reports for multiple tenders
• Participate in design reviews of tenderer product development
• Maintain a detailed systems engineering database with fully populated and linked entries
• Produce high-quality written reports, briefs, and governance documentation for senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Aeronautical Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Active NV1 Security Clearance
• Extensive experience in the Air Domain and aircraft acquisition
• Proven experience with CASG and Defence acquisition processes
• Demonstrated experience working with aircraft airframe and engine specifications
• Strong written and presentation skills for engaging with senior stakeholders
• Ability to travel as required for meetings and vendor reviews
