Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop requirements from the train level down to the subsystem level (contractual, normative, and feedback-based).
• Supervise subsystem design through weekly meetings with projects and suppliers, technical documentation validation, and design reviews.
• Specify, design, test, and optimize train subsystems such as pantographs, mechanical brakes, converters, or batteries.
• Draft technical documentation including client descriptions, architectures, calculation notes, and test specifications.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Ensure the commissioning and adjustment of subsystems on trains.
• Collaborate on continuous process improvement by integrating lessons learned.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or a related field.
• Knowledge of railway systems or complex industrial systems.
• Understanding of design, validation, and commissioning processes.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D design tools.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and propose innovative solutions.
