About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and interact with customers, architects, and engineers to perform detailed designs for low voltage technology systems including cabling, security, audio visual, and DAS.
  • Develop project budgets, technical design requirements, and scopes of work in collaboration with estimators and engineers.
  • Perform drafting and modeling using Autodesk CAD and Revit software.
  • Create technology systems flow line diagrams, security riser diagrams, door details, and network diagrams.
  • Conduct electronic takeoffs using Bluebeam software.
  • Manage assigned projects including billing, cash flow, cost projections, and schedule management.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members and perform peer reviews of designs and documentation.
  • Participate in kickoff meetings to ensure smooth transitions from design to the build phase.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in the low voltage or technology industry, specifically with structured cabling.
  • Proficiency using Revit.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Competency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Projects).
  • Industry-recognized design certifications such as RCDD, CTS, or PSP.
