About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test distributed control systems (DCS) hardware and software
  • Configure computer systems and network architecture for process monitoring in the nuclear power industry
  • Lead and manage design engineering teams to meet technical and project requirements on-time and within budget
  • Supervise engineering design, construction, installation, and ongoing technical support
  • Review and approve engineering documents, including reports, drawings, and customer deliverables
  • Support proposal activities, including market assessments, scope definition, and risk assessment
  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot system hardware and software requirements
  • Integrate third-party hardware and software into company-developed systems
  • Coach and mentor team members to support career progression and capability advancement

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person due to the nature of the work
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Extensive PLC and DCS programming and design experience
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits
  • Experience interfacing with field devices (thermocouples, RTDs, current loops, etc.)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (less than 10%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network configuration, including VLAN planning and switch routing
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or Microsoft Visio
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Windows operating systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio (C/C++/C#)
  • Experience with equipment layout or panel design for end-user facilities
