Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of computer systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and security management
• Respond to inquiries concerning all aspects of computer and network operations
• Manage user accounts and implement Active Directory services
• Install and configure system hardware (servers, workstations, printers, etc.) and software
• Configure remote hosting and sharing protocols such as NFS, NIS, and SAMBA
• Monitor and allocate system resources including CPU, memory, and storage
• Perform system backups, restores, and regular patching of operating systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems
• Utilize DevOps capabilities and CI/CD to shorten systems development life cycles
• Audit system log files for compliance and support system scanning efforts

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance
• Seven (7) years of experience as a system administrator
• Five (5) years of experience within the Intelligence Community (IC)
• Proficiency in at least one administrative language (Shell, Perl, PowerShell, or Python)
• Functional knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems
• Experience with software configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible
• Knowledge of distributed/clustered computing, cloud computing, and virtualization
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
