Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Provide system administration and technical support for desktop and IT infrastructure systems to users and customers
• Manage and support Linux and Windows servers, storage arrays, and LAN/MPLS network devices
• Maintain end-user technology including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and specialized ruggedized equipment
• Support communications room technology, telephone systems (PBX/VoIP), and data backup/archiving solutions
• Perform asset and license management and support IT setup for in-house customer training
• Act as a liaison with internal and external service providers to resolve hardware and software issues

Requirements

• Technology Degree and 3+ years of related support experience in a multi-platform, multi-vendor environment
• Thorough knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and LAN administration
• Ability to obtain and hold a Secret security clearance and pass security assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP)
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including a requirement for a condensed period of travel (6-8 weeks) every three years
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
