About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain classified LAN/WAN networked systems and environments supporting lab and test operations
- Serve as the primary administrator for network-centric components including switches, routers, firewalls, and server infrastructure
- Perform day-to-day administration for Windows and Linux systems within secure, segmented network environments
- Apply and maintain operating system and network security configurations in accordance with DoD STIGs
- Support cybersecurity and accreditation activities (IATT/ATO) by providing technical documentation and artifacts
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and coordinate resolutions to support mission execution
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system and network diagrams and standard operating procedures
- Travel CONUS and OCONUS (25–40%) to support system deployments, site surveys, and testing events
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active/current Secret Clearance
- BS/BA degree from an accredited US institution
- 5 years of relevant experience
- IAT Level II or higher certification (DoD 8570/8140 compliant), such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Webster Field and NAS Patuxent River RDT&E network infrastructure
- Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or CCST)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio
- Experience with wireless or microwave point-to-point networking, IPSEC VPN, and L2TP
- Familiarity with Linux (RHEL) and SUNOS systems
- Current U.S. Passport
