Systems Administrator III/IV

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, operations, and performance tuning for a multi-server virtualized environment
• Oversee patch remediation, software deployment, and ensure effective backup/restore operations
• Maintain and enhance system security and provide Active Directory support for user permissions
• Monitor systems, produce required reports, and maintain configuration control and documentation
• Manage infrastructure improvement projects and support cloud migration and network operations
• Perform physical server tasks including installation, removal, and hard drive replacements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area
• 10 years of experience in system administration or a related field
• Strong background in Windows domain architecture and Active Directory
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and network security
• Experience with load balancing and virtualization technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-15 years of progressive experience in computer or system science
• Experience with Windows Server 2022+ and various Linux distributions
• Proficiency with Splunk, Sentinel One (S1), and BigFix operations
• Experience with Veeam Backup Software and cloud-based server administration
• Knowledge of cluster computing and related application experience
