Systems Administrator II

Responsibilities

• Plan server rack placement and implement capacity management strategies for large-scale data center deployments.
• Install, reinstall, and maintain operating systems for new and existing servers.
• Perform daily server maintenance, hardware troubleshooting, and break-fix repairs.
• Manage server lifecycles, including drive erasure for retiring equipment and tracking RMA processes.
• Maintain accurate internal data for asset management, ticketing, and rack configurations.
• Troubleshoot server network connectivity and resolve hardware batch failures in coordination with vendors.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent issues raised by business owners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and the ability to locate hardware faults.
• Proficiency in running and understanding simple Shell/Bash scripts.
• Basic networking knowledge, including MAC addresses, Subnets, and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of out-of-band/lights-out server communication methods, such as IPMI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
