Systems Administrator/Help Desk Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support to faculty, staff, and students via phone, email, ticketing system, and in person
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printing, account, and connectivity issues
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
• Support classroom and campus audio/visual technology and coordinate equipment setup for events
• Administer user accounts and access through directory services, email, MFA, and application permissions
• Assist with the administration of servers, core services, backups, and recovery processes
• Support endpoint management tasks including OS updates, antivirus/EDR, and software deployment
• Assist with basic network administration and troubleshooting for switches, wireless, DHCP/DNS, and VPN

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in end-user support or help desk roles
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and macOS
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN)
• Experience with directory services and identity management (e.g., Active Directory or Microsoft 365)
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 25 lbs
• Must possess a vibrant, personal Christian faith and be actively involved in an evangelical church

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field
• Relevant IT certifications
• Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell)
