About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for end-user Windows and Mac workstations, office software, and licensing.
- Respond to global service desk tickets and deliver timely resolutions to technical issues.
- Manage user account provisioning, permissions, and employee onboarding/offboarding for a global remote staff.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets and software licenses.
- Execute technical tasks for infrastructure projects, such as OS deployments and configuration updates.
- Partner with the Information Security Team to remediate security findings and vulnerabilities.
- Develop help articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to contribute to the team Knowledge Base.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude) to troubleshoot complex issues and standardize documentation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in IT support, system administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting both Mac and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
- Experience with VPN technologies and client configuration.
- Familiarity with ITIL lifecycle stages, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI platforms to increase troubleshooting speed and documentation quality.
- Ability to work onsite in San José, Costa Rica, five days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MDM solutions, VOIP, Enterprise Malware, or CRM platforms.
- Familiarity with managing cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience building automation workflows using tools like Make, Zapier, or Power Automate.
- Exposure to security audits such as SOC2 or ISO 27001.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL 4 Foundation, CompTIA Network+, or Security+.
