About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for end-user Windows and Mac workstations, office software, and licensing.
  • Respond to global service desk tickets and deliver timely resolutions to technical issues.
  • Manage user account provisioning, permissions, and employee onboarding/offboarding for a global remote staff.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets and software licenses.
  • Execute technical tasks for infrastructure projects, such as OS deployments and configuration updates.
  • Partner with the Information Security Team to remediate security findings and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop help articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to contribute to the team Knowledge Base.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude) to troubleshoot complex issues and standardize documentation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in IT support, system administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
  • Experience with VPN technologies and client configuration.
  • Familiarity with ITIL lifecycle stages, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI platforms to increase troubleshooting speed and documentation quality.
  • Ability to work onsite in San José, Costa Rica, five days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MDM solutions, VOIP, Enterprise Malware, or CRM platforms.
  • Familiarity with managing cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience building automation workflows using tools like Make, Zapier, or Power Automate.
  • Exposure to security audits such as SOC2 or ISO 27001.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL 4 Foundation, CompTIA Network+, or Security+.
