System Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and document OS Kernel and Device Driver software using C, C++, and Python
• Participate in agile development within a scrum team
• Communicate effectively and contribute to technical discussions with software, hardware, and architecture stakeholders
• Work closely with hardware and silicon engineering groups during key product development phases

Requirements

• Industry experience in software development using C or C++
• Familiarity with OS Kernel and Device Driver development on Linux or Windows
• Understanding of lower-level software stacks and hardware layer interactions
• Problem-solving skills with experience in debug and performance analysis tools
• Experience with PCIe, CPU, device drivers, SoC, firmware, or hardware/software integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing firmware or drivers for GPUs or other accelerators
• Experience upstreaming kernel code or contributing to the Linux kernel
• Exposure to data center or cloud service operations, such as Kubernetes or OpenStack
