System Software Engineer (Embedded)

Responsibilities

• Develop system software for PlayStation platforms across hardware, OS, servers, clients, and applications
• Work on kernel, device drivers, firmware, SDKs, and low-level optimization for console components
• Build applications for PS5, PS4, Windows, iOS, Android, and Mac
• Develop server functionality, network infrastructure, and security/encryption (content protection)
• Optimize GPU, sound processors, and overall console performance at the low level

Requirements

• Experience in related system software or embedded development
• C/C++ development experience
• Low-level programming experience
• Kernel, driver, or SDK development experience
• GPU parallel processing or shader language experience
• Audio signal processing or network protocol software experience
• Mobile or PC application development experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for hands-on coding and building products
• Open attitude toward supporting and consulting with other developers
• Persistence in tackling unknown issues and taking action without hesitation
